2024年から2025年にかけて画家・下山健太郎が制作した、フレームに収められた絵画作品を集めた作品集が新たに刊行されました。タイトル「The Accumulated Atmosphere of the Room」は、絵を描く過程で重要にしている「重ねる行為」から名付けられています。描かれた図像やキャンバス、それらが積み重なることで生まれる空気感が、その部屋の佇まいを形作るという制作の考え方に基づいています。
本書では、画家の加藤美佳さん、映画監督・映像作家の清原惟さん、The 5th Floorのディレクターの岩田智哉さんに、それぞれ異なる視点や関係性から寄稿していただいたテキストも収められています。

A new art book has been published, featuring framed paintings created by artist Kentaro Shimoyama between 2024 and 2025. Titled The Accumulated Atmosphere of the Room, the book takes its name from the act of layering, a crucial element in his painting process. The concept behind his work is that the accumulation of images, canvases, and the layers they create shapes the atmosphere of a room.

The book also includes contributed texts from painter Mika Kato, film director and visual artist Yui Kiyohara, and Tomoya Iwata, director of The 5th Floor, each offering unique perspectives and relationships to the work.
